Following is   a general overview of what should be included in a comprehensive exam.<\/p>\n    <p>Areas to check:<\/p>\n    <ul>\n      <li>Periodontal exam (gum and bones supporting the teeth)<\/li>\n      <li>Dental Exam (teeth)<\/li>\n      <li>Head and Neck Cancer Exam (soft tissues of mouth, throat and surrounding structures)<\/li>\n      <li>Occlusal Exam (Bite analysis)<\/li>\n      <li>TMJ Exam (jaw joints)<\/li>\n      <li>Radiographic Exam (x-rays and various scans)<\/li>\n      <li>Salivary Function Exam (quantity and quality of saliva)<\/li>\n      <li>Esthetic Exam (appearance of teeth and gums related to the face)<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n    <br>\n    <p>A comprehensive dental exam means no stone is left unturned and your   dentist will know everything there is to know about your oral health.
